Panalo Works / note 3

Running an outcome review

A review of better handovers should explain the transition to “Fortnightly”, rather than treating the label as self-explanatory. A goal becomes a slogan when the team cannot say what evidence would show that it is getting closer. Describe the outcome, choose evidence and state the review date. Keep activities distinct from the result they are intended to produce.

Review the next move

Panalo Works explores goal planning that connects a desired outcome with observable progress and everyday work.

Example: Better handovers

The illustrative record contains missing context. Its state is fortnightly. Ask what evidence supports that state, which detail is still uncertain and whether the next person could understand it without reading a separate message thread.

Questions for a working review

A small exercise

Take one recent goal planning example from your own process. Write its context without using a status label, then add the label separately. If the two contradict each other, investigate the source before updating the record. Compare the result with “Faster onboarding” in the demonstration to see which distinctions your process needs.

These are planning notes. The specimen is illustrative, and the preview does not process live work.
